Description

Mechanical Anchor are designed to install easily and securely into a variety of base materials, including concrete, grouted and hollow CMU and brick. Specifies and contractors trust Simpson Strong-Tie Anchor for optimum performance under the most demanding structural applications. The Easy-Set is a pin drive expansion Anchor for medium and heavy duty fastening applications into concrete and grout-filled block. Integrated nut and washer helps keep track of parts. Strike anchors, also known as hit anchors, are intended for light to heavy-duty applications, anchoring into concrete, brick or block. It is composed of a hollow sleeve, a hardened drive pin, integrated nut and washer for keeping track of parts. The strike anchor is normally inserted into a pre-drilled and cleaned hole in the concrete. Then set it just by striking the pin down to create expansion. Mechanical Expansion Anchors ·Expansion anchors can be used to describe the majority of concrete and masonry anchors. Anchors of this type are designed with an expansion mechanism that compresses against the base material. · The expansion mechanism may be a sleeve, slotted shell, slotted stud, or wedge assembly which is actuated by a tapered cone, tapered plug, nail, bolt, or screw depending upon the anchor style. The three basic styles of wedge anchors are fully threaded, partially threaded, and the full-bodied wedge anchor. The compression of the expansion mechanism against the wall of the drilled hole allows the anchor to transfer the load to the base material. Anchors which are expanded by tightening a bolt or nut are considered to be torque controlled while those that are actuated by driving a nail or plug are considered to be deformation controlled. A deformation-controlled anchor can develop a higher initial compression force when compared to a torque-controlled anchor. Compression anchors may also be pre-expanded and/or used in conjunction with a drive nail.

Features

Easy operation - only a hammer is needed for installation; in addition, only a smaller hole is needed, with much smaller gaps between strike anchor and the base material.

Reliable - Strike masonry anchors hardened drive pin retains its original shape even being struck fiercely. High quality - Strike concrete anchor made from quality carbon steel in grade of 4.8.

Pin drive anchors heavy duty High strength - enables the strike anchor to withstand unusual toughness. Long lasting - heated treated and yellow zinc plated to discourage corrosion.

Hammer drive concrete bolt high performance - permits high anchor strength and expansion capacity. Convenient - Strike anchors for concrete visually inspectable after installation.

Expansion anchors can be used to describe the majority of concrete and masonry anchors. Anchors of this type are designed with an expansion mechanism that compresses against the base material.
