This saw is made by Thomas Flinn of Sheffield England the last traditional saw and plane maker in the UK and co-branded Pax / Taytools. This Reversible Gent’s Saw has been made in such a way to facilitate the left and right-handed worker. The cranked walnut handle allows cutting into the most awkward of corners with ease. The back is rolled solid brass and 1/2" wide by 0.160" thick. The folded brass back means the blade is held under tension offering excellent rigidity and balance. The saw plate is 0.020" thick with set on one just side of the blade. The handle is made from solid Walnut. Overall blade width is 1-5/8" with maximum cutting capacity of 1". The blade has 15 TPI. Saw plate is made from high carbon allow steel for durability and ease of sharpening. The teeth can be resharpened.
