I bought this to replace my little 10 lbs. mushroom for use on a 17' fiberglass flats boat with a 40 horse engine. The 7 lbs. one will work great, and I like that it folds up when not in use. This is just used as a little picnic anchor or when I get out of the boat and walk the flats. I have a Danforth if I really want to anchor securely.Great for fishing...compact, kept the inflatable boat from floating around in the wind. Very happy with this.
