I believe you get what you pay for. These are great for the money, however I believe in rough terrain you will loose what ever is mounted to them and your mount. They grab snug but not as tight as I thought. And definitely one is better than the other as I bought 2. I would say if you are going to use them as tie down points in your bed you may be ok. But for whips I would get a hard mount to the frame next time.
